![]() One-of-a-kind view of U.S.S. Enterprise firing phasers at a target on a planet's surface, from the episode "The Alternative Factor." Trivia: The 11-foot Enterprise model could be filmed only from the ship's starboard (right) side. Rare views such as this one were achieved using mirrored decals (for the NCC-1701 on the saucer underside in this view), then flipping the film to achieve a port-side (left-side) angle. This image also contains a mild "blooper," in that the wiring for lighting the model can be seen slightly protruding near the top left of the image where the support pylon joins the engine nacelle. |

Below are screen shots from the beautifully-rendered
bridge of the original U.S.S. Enterprise, which is featured as one
of five Star Trek bridges on the Simon & Schuster CD-ROM
"Captain's Chair." The Interactive CD-ROM was co-produced by
Michael Okuda and Denise Okuda, and the renderings of the original
Enterprise bridge were done by Jay Roth and Electric Image.
